SEASONS utilizes sport specific movements and block periodization so you’re always ready to rip and you stay riding longer.

The SEASONS app delivers customized workouts built specifically around outdoor sports. Workouts change for pre-season, in-season, and off-season.

SEASONS BLOCK PERIODIZATION METHOD

BLOCK PERIODIZATION OFFERS THE BODY A VARIETY OF UNIQUE YET INTENTIONAL STIMULUS.

SEASONS training will transform your body through a series of training blocks that evolve you from general fitness to ski specific fitness.

The SEASONS app will update weekly with new training for each block of the program. As you complete each week you’ll build the fitness needed to shred all day, everyday this winter.

BLOCK 1

ACCUMULATION

PHASE SUMMARY:

General physical preparation (GPP) developing overall physical capacity for sport specific training.

TRAINING RATIO:

80% GPP / 20% Sport Specific Training.

BLOCK 2

TRANSMUTATION

PHASE SUMMARY:

Start evolving from GPP to develop sport specific strength and condition.

TRAINING RATIO:

50% GPP / 50% Sport Specific Training.

BLOCK 3

REALIZATION

PHASE SUMMARY:

With more preparation and awareness of the body, we increase sport specific training. Maintain strength, focus on increasing power, stability, coordination and balance where it matters for you each sport.

TRAINING RATIO:

20% GPP / 80% Sport Specific Training.

BLOCK 4

STABILIZATION

PHASE SUMMARY:

This block is used during sport season. Training is built to maintain the physical qualities developed during blocks 1-3. Difficulty of the workouts decreases to minimize fatigue build up that can interfere with sport performance.

  • What is Seasonal fitness training?

    We train you for all your favorite outdoor sports which are ruled by the seasons. The start-stop-start aspect of these sports reeks havoc on the body overtime. Plus, not being ready to ride when the season rolls around is negative amounts of fun. Seasonal fitness training is customized workout programming built specifically around seasons so you’re always ready to rip, forever.

  • Why should I try it?

    You’re not convinced already?! Tough customer. Ok,questions for you:

    • Do you believe there’s nothing more fun than ripping outside with your friends when you’re at your best?
    • Are you an outdoor sports athlete who is unsatisfied with their current gym or workout routine?

  • What’s the workout like?

    Yeah, now we’re getting somewhere, here’s the deal:

    The Pre-season training program is 3 months long, with workouts scheduled three days a week (M,W,F). The Pre-season Beta training is bodyweight focused (with only minor equipment needs, noted below), and is accessed via our app so you can train almost anywhere.

    Training follows the Block Periodization model, meaning you’ll be building from general fitness to sport-specific fitness over the course of the program.

    • Month 1, the Accumulation Phase, will focus on developing core strength, work capacity and general conditioning.
    • Month 2, the Transmutation Phase (name of my new band?), will focus on developing sport specific strength and progressing skill based drills.
    • Month 3, the Realization Phase, will focus on developing mountain specific skills, conditioning, and improving jumping ability. Each daily workout is pretty damn good, fast, and hard!

     

  • Who creates the fitness training programs?

    Good question, you’re slingin’ hardballs! Our fitness programs are built by pro trainers in collaboration with leading pro athletes from each sport. Athletes also serve as the face and workout guide of each training program.

    Our Director of Sports Performance is Serhat Yayla. Serhat is an ex Turkish professional soccer player and powerlifter who was previously a strength and conditioning coach at the High Performance Research Centre at The University of Alberta, Canada. He has been training professional athletes for over a decade.

    Our lead skier is Michelle Parker. Michelle is one of the ski industry’s leading freeskiers, has appeared in over a dozen ski films and in 2013, she won Best Female Performance at the Powder Video Awards and at the International Freeski Film Festival.   • What equipment do I need?

    Sounds like you’re getting ready to rip! Nice! For the Pre-season training programs, you’ll need a chair or box, a wall with enough space to lean against, a small “marker” (piece of tape, a hat, a water bottle) and something with a decent amount of weight you can hold (a 5 lb dumbbell, a backpack with books in it, etc.) That’s it!

  • WHEN CAN YOU START THE BETA?

    The Beta is ready and live today! We recommend starting in early October but it’s ok if you need to start later. Download the app and start on Week 01 Day 01 whenever you’re ready.

  • Why the beta?

    We’re kicking SEASONS off with a Beta because we want to gather sample specific feedback. Learnings will improve the final production of our launch product - making it cooler, stronger and a better overall experience for SEASONS subscribers. Aka we are nerds who aim to please.

  • HOW DO I ACCESS THE BETA?

    The Beta is available in our app which you can download today from the Apple App and Google Play Stores.

  • When is the launch and what’ll be different?

    In the second half of 2023 we’re launching a scaled version of the SEASONS Outdoor Training product with Pre-season, In-season and Postseason training programs for multiple sports such as Snowboarding, Skiing, Mountain Biking, and Surfing. Programs will be built for a range of levels from beginner-to-pro.

  • How much does it cost?

    The Beta will be free. At launch, SEASONS will offer beginner training programs for free as well, with intermediate and expert programs costing about as much as a typical gym membership.
